HE CARES ~ Precious Victor Akah

Sometimes, when faced with certain life's challenges and when troubles of life seems to come to us non-stop - without ceasing - some of us are tempted to think that God has left us, God has forgotten us, or God no longer cares about us.

The enemy actually makes us feel this way. And we start to question our right-standing with God; if we had sinned without knowing, if we have deviated from God's purpose and plan for our lives - making us vulnerable to unceasing life's challenges.

A lot of things start to run through our mind: Maybe we're not praying enough. Maybe we're not fasting enough. Maybe we're not holy enough. Maybe we're not spiritual enough, and so, God doesn't care about us anymore and He is not willing to help us.

Well, yes, there are times we suffer unnecessarily due to spiritual carelessness, laziness, the presence of unconfessed/unrepented sin, or taking a spiritual vacation, or not making out enough time like we used to to engage in spiritual activities that keeps us spiritual healthy, spiritually balanced and spiritually nourished.

But most times, trials of life comes to us to simply test and strengthen our faith in God. Your faith in God can only be exercised during trying times. Your faith in God can only grow and keep growing when you put it to use in trying times.

James 1:2-4 (AMP) admonishes us thus: "Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials.

Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace].

And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing."

Meditate on this above scripture and memorize it, let it take root in your heart, you'll find it very useful in times of trial.

Now, when times of trials come, one of the biggest things that will really help you, which has worked countless number of times for me, is TALKING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT and ASKING HIM FOR HELP.

This is why the Holy Spirit is your greatest asset on earth. You can't afford to play with your relationship with Him, neither should you ignore Him in your Christian living.

In times of trial, just a simple prayer to the Holy Spirit, a simple plea for help from Him can quickly give you your desired victory or change of situation.

So, it's important to maintain a good relationship with the Holy Spirit. Know what He loves and do it to please Him. Know what He hates and dislikes and avoid it to please Him.

So far as your relationship with the Holy Spirit is harmonious and your fellowship with Him is regular, you can ask Him for anything and He'll gladly help you. Remember, He's your Helper.

What's more, this scripture has helped me in so many ways, especially in trying times. It says, "Give your burdens to the LORD, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall."

AMPLIFIED BIBLE puts it this way, "Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail)." Psalm 55:22

Whatever is a burden to you right now, turn it over to the Lord. Turn that burden over to the Lord in prayer and consciously choose never to worry about it again. Never worry about things that you have already handed over to the Lord.

Let the Lord carry all your burdens. Let Him sustain and uphold you. Let Him take care of you, because HE CARES ABOUT YOU, and CARES FOR YOU.

Give your burdens to the Lord and be at rest.

Choose peace over anxiety.
Choose rest over worry, today.

God cares! You are victorious!
