A True-Life Incident that Illustrates a Spiritual Truth by Precious C Philip

Few days ago while I was reading Open Heavens Daily Devotional in the morning, I spoke to God to give me something I would share to the world this Monday in my weekly blog. As I read a Bible passage, suddenly, God opened my eyes to see something breathtaking in a particular verse. He revealed to me a deep secret that'll emboldened you and make you not to dread coronavirus the moment you get hold of it. This secret is in Genesis 1:28, which reads "Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Now focus on this last statement "and over every living thing that moves on the earth." God blessed us and gave us dominion over everything He created. He gave us dominion over every living thing that moves on the earth. Did you notice from that statement that coronavirus is among what God gave us dominion over? Let me elucidate you: this virus is a LIVING THING, and it MOVES ON THE EARTH. So, God gave us dominion over it. Meaning, God gave us the power to rule over it; He gave us mastery over it; He gave us absolute control over it; He gave us total authority to rule over it. Hallelujah! Can you be controlled by what you are in control of? NO! Can you be attacked by what you have dominion over? NO! Can you be destroyed or harmed by what you have power over? NO! Can you dread/fear what you have mastery over? NO! What you have been given authority over, can it frighten you? Of course not! So, have a good understanding of this truth, believe it, and walk boldly without fear. 

The devil might whisper to your ears "Don't mind her. She's just quoting theory. It is not practicable. It is not a reality. They're mere words. It doesn't work in this age. How can you possibly control a physical virus? Don't mind her. You don't even have dominion over anything because Adam sinned and lost the dominion." Beloved, do not listen to the devil. Remember, he is a liar. No truth comes from his lips because he cannot speak truth but only lies. Moreover, the words of God doesn't make sense, it makes faith, and if you believe and obey, the supernatural becomes your experience. Yes, Adam disobeyed God and mankind lost the dominion God gave him over everything He created to the devil. But there is a good news: Jesus, the second Adam, came to earth, and through His obedience to God the Father restored our lost dominion back to us. Listen to this: "Adam caused many to be sinners because he disobeyed God, and Christ caused many to be made acceptable to God because he obeyed" (Romans 5:19); Romans 5:17 also reveals "One man sinned, and so death ruled all people because of that one man. But now some people accept God’s full grace and his great gift of being made right. Surely they will have true life and rule through the one man, Jesus Christ."

So, as soon as the world was redeemed by Jesus and authority and dominion returned, He once again gave it to us. "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). 

"Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness" (Matthew 10:1). As believers we now have authority on earth. The kingdom of Satan has been destroyed (Colossians 2:14-15) and we have been raised and seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named (including Coronavirus which has a name), not only in this age but also in that which is to come.(Ephesians 2:6, Ephesians 1:21). Now we are co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). He has once again turned over authority on this earth to believers. What an amazing truth! You have authority and power over coronavirus. It cannot harm you. It cannot assault you. 

Look at this true-life incident for better understanding (God cast my mind back to it to expound what He revealed to me in Genesis 1:28): a dog was sleeping and a toy tiger was placed beside it. The moment the dog woke up and sighted the tiger, it jumped up and took to its heels -barking fiercely. Let me ask, what made the dog run away with so much fear and trembling when it saw the tiger? Remember, this was a toy tiger, so it did not roar. Also, the dog I believe has never seen a real tiger before neither has it been to the zoo to see a live one. So what made it run? This is what made it run: the moment the dog sighted the toy tiger, something in him immediately told him that this creature is superior to him hence, more powerful - so the safest thing to do to avoid being mauled is to run! This is exactly how it is (in the spirit) between you and coronavirus as a child of God if you understand your spiritual authority and know your rank spiritually -that coronavirus is under your feet since its inventor, the devil, is under your feet. 

"What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents." Psalm 8:4-8

Believe this Scripture and walk henceforth without fear of any virus or disease. Before anything happens in the physical realm, it first happens in the spiritual realm because the spiritual controls the physical. So if you know this truth, understand it, believe it, and are always conscious of it, coronavirus cannot attack you. Because when the one using it to steal people's joy & peace, and to kill and destroy human lives (being the devil who is a spirit) sees from the spiritual realm that you are conscious of the truth that you are superior to him, he'll flee with his killer virus like the dog did and you'll enjoy safety and divine health. This truth has emboldened me the more. It can also embolden you if you believe. If you're not a child of God yet, repent of your sins and believe in Jesus, accept Him into your life and you'll receive back your rightful dominion over everything God created and fully exercise it on earth.
