ABSOLUTE SALVATION ~ Precious Victor Akah

It's a common knowledge that Jesus saves from sin, eternal death and condemnation in hell, but in addition, Jesus also saves from harmful, negative addictions. This means that, after you come to Jesus to be saved (born again), you shouldn't feel that He cannot help you overcome any negative addiction(s) you may have, and so choose not to talk to Him about it and just continue living with the addictions.

Truth be told, you cannot serve God joyfully, freely and peacefully if those addictions don't leave you. They'll always be a barrier to your free worship and fellowship with God the Holy Spirit - be it porn addiction, premarital/extramarital sex addiction, homosexuality, lust, smoking and drinking, clubbing, prostitution, swindling, lying, stealing etc., especially because of the guilt, sorrow and shame it brings.

This is why Jesus also offers you freedom from negative addictions after saving your soul. Actually, Jesus already gave you the power to be free from those addictions, you just have to violently exercise the power and forcefully take your freedom.

"Therefore he (Jesus) is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." Hebrews 7:25

Jesus is able to save anyone completely. He doesn't save halfway, He saves completely, if you ask Him for help. Because, "If the Son (Jesus) therefore shall set you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36

He saves from sin and is also capable of freeing you from all negative addictions and negative habits you may be struggling with before coming to Him.

When I came to Jesus eleven years ago, I had some negative addictions and habits I was struggling with, but Jesus saved my soul and also helped me gain freedom from those addictions, and today, I am completely free from them. This He can do for you too.

Before I came to Jesus, I actually never imagined I could live freely and joyfully without doing those negative things I was addicted to, because I honestly tried on my own (when I got tired of doing them) to regain my freedom, but all was futile.

But thanks be to God, who sent His Son Jesus, to find me and clean me up, and give me the liberty to live freely. Freedom is not the ability to do whatever you like, but the ability to resist doing what you don't like. Unfortunately, many people think they're free when they're actually in heavy bondage.

How do you say you're enjoying freedom when you don't have the power and ability to not do things that are harmful to your body, like sniffing narcotics or tobacco?

How do you claim to be free when you can't say no to premarital sex or extramarital seductions? How do you convince yourself that you're really a free person when you lust after every woman you see - and within minutes - you're masturbating?

How are you free truly when you can't go a day without watching pornography thereby damaging your mind and preventing yourself from achieving great things you can achieve daily with your mind and brain?

Consider all these and seek true freedom from Jesus Christ after being born again. Don't pamper or tolerate those negative addictions and habits. Get rid of them with help from Jesus through the Holy Spirit He gives you to indwell you after being born again.

Say to yourself, "Enough is enough to that porn addiction, premarital/extramarital sexual relations, lying, stealing, swindling, prostitution!" And go on your knees to seek help from God to send them packing. Remember, you need scriptures that speaks against these things to successfully send them packing from your life.

So, sit down and find these scriptural verses, memorize them, pray with them, confess and vocally declare them whenever temptation comes, and with constant resistance and war with the Word of God and prayer, you'll rejoice as a free person.

Take action now! Don't delay anymore, so you can freely and joyfully serve God.

God bless you.
