9 QUALITIES THAT SHOWS YOU POSSESS DIVINE WISDOM ~ Precious Victor Akah

Today, we'll discuss 9 qualities from Scripture that helps you know whether or not you possess divine wisdom (heavenly wisdom/God's wisdom). A lot of people assume that they have God's wisdom or are operating with divine wisdom, but there is a way to be certain that what you possess and are working with is truly God's wisdom.

This is because, God's Word (which is the truth) reveals that there are two kinds of wisdom: there is earthly wisdom or devilish wisdom or unspiritual wisdom and there is heavenly wisdom or God's wisdom or divine wisdom. Unfortunately, if one is not operating with God's wisdom, they're operating with earthly/devilish wisdom.

One significant thing about God's wisdom is that it is limitless. There is nothing it cannot handle. No situation, no puzzle, no challenge, is beyond it. But earthly wisdom is very much limited. It can't handle everything. Devilish wisdom has only one end for the possessor - destruction and eternal death.

Now, let's zero in on the main topic of discussion today, which is divine, heavenly or God's wisdom. One thing you must know about God's wisdom is that you're not born with it. We all are born with earthly wisdom. It is earthly wisdom (devilish wisdom) that inspires us to lie instead of telling the truth. It is what inspires us to engage in sexual immoral acts against God's will. It teaches us to be stingy, jealous, selfish, unforgiving, revengeful, hateful, spiteful and wicked. It is what provokes us to cheat, defraud, steal, kill, kidnap, covet, envy, slander and hate our fellow human beings. We receive and begin to operate with God's wisdom when we're born again by the Holy Spirit (i.e when you repent of your sins and receive Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour and start living according to God's revealed wisdom in the Bible).

Scripture says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). So you must fear God to be considered someone who possess God's wisdom, and you cannot fear God except you're born again.

These below are some strong evidence of the presence of divine wisdom in a man's life. These are found in James 3:13-18 (NLT)
Let's read: "If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness."

Check your life for the presence of these qualities to know of a truth that you possess God's wisdom:

1. Living an honorable life; a life considered good before God.
2. Deeds done in humility. Doing good works or good deeds with unfeigned humility.
3. Purity. Living a pure life void of sin and immorality; possessing a pure heart and pure thoughts; living a sexually pure life.
4. Peace-loving and peaceful. Do you love, seek and pursue peace at all times? Are you a peaceful person? Are you a peace-maker?
5. Gentle and considerate. Do you speak, act and react with gentleness? Can people call you a gentle man or woman? Are you considerate of other people - their needs and preferences?
6. Friendly and willing to yield to others
7. Merciful, compassionate and bearing good fruits of righteousness
8. Impartial, showing no favoritism nor prejudice
9. Always sincere. Are you sincere and honest? Are you a truthful person?

If however, you discover that you lack these qualities, which means you're still operating with earthly wisdom, I implore you to seek God's wisdom by first surrending your life to Jesus, then start living according to the Word of God. Fear God and obey Him. This is the beginning of divine wisdom. And I must tell you that the rewards of divine wisdom is matchless. It is better experienced. Seek divine wisdom today in Christ Jesus.
