WEARING A BIKINI TO THE BEACH

Wearing a bikini to the beach, swimming pool, or water park is commonplace in today’s world that a lot of Christian ladies confidently wear bikini when going for swimming or to the beach, because the world has sold the idea to them that you must wear bikini, revealing swimsuit, or bum shorts with a crop top when going to the beach, water park or for swimming. But is this really right based on God’s standard of right and wrong? Can a Christian lady wear a decent swimming costume and still be able to swim or have fun at the beach? Deep down in their hearts, at least for some of them with a conscience still alive, these Christian ladies emulating the world, know that what they’re doing is not right, but because it's normal in the world and majority are doing it, they join the crowd, suppressing their conscience and the reprimand of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Christian ladies, going for swimming, going to the water park, going to the beach, is not an excuse to wear bikini or any of those revealing, scanty clothes, neither is it a golden opportunity to show the world or social media your thighs, belly, buttocks, and boobs wearing a bikini. You can still be decent in what you wear. God expects decency from you every time you’re in public and people are watching you, not only when you’re going to church. When you're going to the gym or for an outdoor exercise, decency is required, but for some with no desire to please God, it is an opportunity to look sexy wearing a sport bra and shorts. When you're going for a wedding ceremony, decency is expected. When you're going for a picnic, decency is expected. Wherever you're going, especially to public places, or want to take video or pictures you’ll share on social media, decency is required of you by God.

Don't emulate the world dear child of God. The world should not influence you; you're to influence the world. They should not compel you to compromise your Christian values. Set the standard and let them emulate you. The strong and brave stand out and lead the crowd. The weak and cowardly blend in and is lost in the crowd. Which are you?

Jesus said, "Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you." 1 John 2:15
That everyone seems to be doing it does not mean God is pleased with it. Do what pleases God, not what everyone is doing, if you're a true child of God.
Exodus 23:2a says “Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong.” And Romans 12:2 admonishes every child of God thus “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Are you a child of God, and you’re guilty of copying the world in this regard? Genuinely repent today. Ask the Lord for forgiveness and stop copying the world. Embrace decency and decide to henceforth honor God in your dressing. God cares about how you dress, because your dressing is either promoting RIGHT (GOOD) and leading souls to God’s Kingdom or promoting WRONG (EVIL) and dragging souls to Hell. This is why He wants you to dress decently: “I want women to show their beauty by dressing in appropriate clothes that are modest and respectable. Their beauty will be shown by what they do, not by their hair styles or the gold jewelry, pearls, or expensive clothes they wear. This is what is proper for women who claim to have reverence for God.” 1 Timothy 2:9-10

Renew your commitment today, to reverence God by doing only what is right according to God’s standard of right and wrong revealed by the Holy Spirit in the Scripture, and commit to pleasing God from now on. Receive help daily from the Holy Spirit to do this. The Lord will bless you as you live to please Him on earth.
“Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.” 1 Thessalonians 4:1
