DON'T GIVE UP ~ Precious Victor Akah

When people give up, they stop trying; they stop hoping; they stop praying; they stop trusting; they stop expecting; they don't care anymore; they lower their standards, some do the unthinkable like ending their life. Failed attempts at success or love, repeated cycle of disappointments, tragic incidents, death or loss of a loved one, haunting past, heart-piercing guilt, heartbreaks, unending pain, hardship and suffering, rejection, shameful, harmful addictions, hopelessness, loneliness,... these are some of the reasons why people give up in life.

Though these reasons appear to be sensible, yet they are not cogent enough to give up in life. This is why God does not forgive anyone who ends his or her life, because you have no reason at all before God to end the life He gave you. So He reminds us that "We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously." 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 TPT

So, there is nothing you're facing that no one else has witnessed, even more severe than yours, hence, you have no strong reason to give up, and we are here to remind you today that you actually have strong reasons not to give up, because no test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it. (1 Corinthians 10:12-13 MSG).

Imagine this: God lost us all to Satan through sin, but did He give up? No! He did all He could, even to the extent of giving up His only begotten Son Jesus, to rescue us from the devil. And guess what? He succeeded. Today, in addition to Jesus who resurrected from the dead, He has millions of children around the world (who all came back to Him), and you're one of them if you have embraced Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and if you have not, I believe upon finishing this post, you'll consider coming back to Him. He loves you and has paid the price to have you back. Please come back to your Heavenly Father.

Now, if God did not give up on you when He lost you to the devil (which was a very terrible experience for Him because He made all humans to be with Him and fellowship with Him), if God went back to get you and I by presenting the Blood of His Son Jesus, why then should you give up in life? Why should you give up on yourself because of terrible things you did in the past or even costly mistakes you have made in the present? Why should you give up on that marriage because you think you no longer love your spouse or because things are difficult at the moment?

Why should you give up on your academics because of poor grades or lack of funds to continue? Why should you give up on that business because you're not making enough sales as you expected you would? Why are you planning to end your life because someone broke your heart or ended a relationship/friendship you so much valued? Why should you think of giving up on your child because they are badly behaved? Why give up on that soul you've been praying for the salvation of their soul? Why give up on prayer because you think your prayers are not being answered?

There are strong reasons not to give up in life and not to give up on yourself. The challenge confronting you right now may seem bigger than you, but not bigger God. If you can remind yourself that someone has passed through this and they came out stronger and better, you'll be the next person to come out stronger and better. And if you'll remind yourself that God has got you and He'll be with you and give you victory, you'll come out victoriously. A lot of people give up when they think they're facing the challenge alone without help from anyone. Recognize God and acknowledge Him. This is why you really cannot go through life successfully without God. You need Jesus. You need the help, strengthening, encouragement and fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Get closer to God, and when He rescues you, don't distance yourself from Him. Because challenges will always come and you need God at every point to scale through it successfully, otherwise, you may want to give up. The higher you rise, the bigger and tougher the challenges that confronts you. So you can't afford to try to use and dump God. You need God permanently beside you and forever with you. So, make peace with Him today and remain in good fellowship with Him, and no matter what comes at you, no matter what life throws at you, you'll overcome it.

So, what's the strong reasons not to give up?Victory is guaranteed as long as you remind yourself that there is nothing new under the sun (someone has passed through your present challenge and overcame - get counsel from them and ultimately from the Holy Spirit). Also, victory is assured as long as you have God with you and on your side. Therefore, clean up your life if you need to get rid of sin - by repentance, and embrace holiness, so that God can have legal grounds to intervene in your case and give you victory.

What's more? You have a destiny and a life's purpose to fulfil that will bring blessings to a vast number of people. Don't fail them. If Jesus had given up at the Garden of Gethsemane when He was overwhelmed and wanted the cup to pass over Him, we would have all gone to hell. But He didn't, that's why we can all fulfil our destinies on earth, live a purposeful life and leave earth to spend eternity in Heaven with God (if we accept Jesus). Think about it.

If Abraham had given up in life because of the pain and agony of having no child with his wife that he so much cherished, and probably ended his life, we won't have the blessings of Abraham today to claim and possess. And if your own parents had given up, you probably won't be alive today. So, don't give up.

Is your heart broken? God can mend it. Is your marriage breaking apart or has broken apart and you desire restoration? God can restore it. Is your business suffering or you just lost your job? God can fix you up with something better. Please don't give up. Have faith in GOD. Stay with God and abide by His principles and standards without opting for an ungodly alternative. Be patient and persevere. You'll share your story and testimony soon. God is faithful. God keeps His promises. Be strong. Be encouraged. Stay hopeful. Your miracle, your change, your testimony is here, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Finding Strength in Adversity: Why We Should Never Give Up

Life's journey is often marked by unexpected twists and turns, challenging our resolve, and testing our faith. In those moments of trial, the timeless wisdom of the Bible offers a guiding light, urging us to persevere and never give up.
The story of Moses and the Israelites journeying to the Promised Land offers profound lessons on resilience and faith. Despite facing daunting challenges like the Red Sea and the wilderness, they pressed on, fueled by trust in God's promises. Their journey reminds us to hold onto hope even in the darkest moments, trusting that God's timing is perfect, and His plans never fail, even when they unfold in unexpected ways.

Their perseverance in the face of adversity teaches us the power of resilience and determination. They endured hunger, thirst, and attacks from enemies, yet they never gave up. Their story is a reminder that no matter the obstacles we face, we can overcome them with unwavering faith and perseverance. Ultimately, their journey serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring us to trust in God's provision and guidance as we navigate life's challenges, knowing that He has a plan for our future.

When the storms of life threaten to overwhelm us, we can find solace in the unshakeable promises of God. Just as Joseph endured years of hardship before rising to prominence in Egypt (Genesis 50:20), we are reminded that God's faithfulness transcends our circumstances. Amid adversity, His hand is ever-present, guiding us toward a brighter tomorrow.
Every trial we face presents an opportunity for growth and transformation. Like refining gold in the furnace, our faith is tested and strengthened through adversity (James 1:2-4).

The story of Job serves as a powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, God is at work, shaping us into vessels of His grace and mercy. In (Job 42:10), God restored to Job his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. We can rest on the promises of God because they are yes and Amen.

Throughout Scripture, we encounter ordinary individuals who defied the odds through unwavering faith. From the courage of David facing Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45-47), to the perseverance of Paul amidst persecution (2 Corinthians 12:9), their stories inspire us to press on, trusting in God's provision and protection. Their lives serve as living testimonies to the power of faith in overcoming obstacles.

Our response to adversity can be a powerful witness to those around us who are searching for hope and meaning. By embodying Christ-like perseverance and resilience, we become beacons of light in a world shrouded in darkness. Through our words and actions, we could lead others to the transformative love of Jesus Christ.
In essence, the message of "never giving up" is more than just a platitude—it's a profound truth that resonates with the human experience. As we navigate life's challenges, may we cling to the promises of God, draw strength from the examples of faith that surround us, and continue to shine brightly in a world in need of hope and redemption. Amen.

Don’t Give Up

Destinies are tied to your destiny. In Ezekiel 3:18-19, God told Ezekiel that he will be held responsible if he refuses to warn some folks of their wicked ways. That means when I give up on life, destinies attached to mine suffers, God will hold me responsible (which includes punishment) and I lose out totally.

Some people out there are waiting, watching and wishing for you to come to their rescue, don't disappoint them. Some people are equally looking up to you, waiting for you to manifest, and trusting that you won’t disappoint, don’t betray their trust.

God didn’t give up on you in your worst state(without Christ), He won’t give up on you now, and will never, so why should you?

The battles you are fighting is equal to the mantle you are carrying, so don’t give up. Rather, try another strategy, get busy positively, while you wait. It is better to be late than quit.

Don't Give up!

Don't give up in life means we should not lose our faith. "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Whenever you face trials, let Galatians 6:9 strengthen you and help you to keep going. This Bible verse about not giving up shows that if we persevere in doing good then we will eventually be rewarded. It's not easy to keep doing the right thing when it feels like you're getting nothing in return. The Bible promises if we will persevere, we will see a return on our investment.

In Romans 8:18 Paul says, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” Notice the words “suffering” and “present time.” Christianity does not give us a free pass from suffering. As a child of God, in our trial time, we must not give up nor use that medium to condemn God.

Few Reasons why we shouldn't give up in life:

We learn a lot when we keep going and decide not to give up. You can learn that there are hidden strength and potentials within you.

Giving up on your dreams is one of the easiest and guaranteed ways to ensure your failure. If you have a goal to achieve in your life, then the process of achieving it is like an adventurous journey. Some days will be easy, and some days will be difficult; some days you will feel happy, and some days you might be tempted to regret starting the journey. It’s a roller coaster ride. But however enthusiastic or positive you are, you may get discouraged and feel that you should give up this journey. And it’s obvious, we all feel like giving up before achieving great success. But if you give up, everything will finish, and as I said, it is the best way to ensure your failure. Hence, it is essential to get it clear why you should never give up to save yourself from this danger.

You haven’t achieved your goal
One of the most powerful reasons you shouldn’t give up is that you haven’t yet achieved what you wanted. And as long as you are alive and mentally healthy, you have to keep trying. If you feel like giving up, ask yourself why you started this journey. Was it to prove yourself or because you wanted to achieve greatness or because you wanted to be rich, or because you wanted to help others? Whatever it is, remind yourself why you started. Remind yourself you haven’t achieved what you wanted to. Remind yourself that giving up will not help you achieve it.

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
-Thomas Edison

You have already come so far
You have started the journey and already come so far. Now you have a better probability of achieving success compared to when you didn’t even start. Every day as you are moving forward, your probability of success is increasing. But now, if you give up, all your efforts so far will be wasted. And you never know how closer to the success you are when you give up. Maybe you are just a few inches away from victory; maybe just taking a few steps, you would find the treasure.

“Survival can be summed up in three words―never give up. That’s the heart of it really. Just keep trying.”
-Bear Grylls

Self-doubt is common
You may give up when you begin to doubt your potential. You doubt whether you would make it. You doubt whether you are quailed enough. You doubt whether you are on the right path. And most of the time, we take these doubts seriously and get affected by them. Here you have to understand that doubting yourself is common. Almost everyone who achieved great success in the past doubted themselves, and it’s not like they felt confident and optimistic every time. It’s not the absence of doubt which led to their success but their habit of ignoring their doubts and moving forward.

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
-Dale Carnegie

No regrets
What if you give up today and later realize that you were just a few inches away from success? You will live the rest of your life with regrets. And believe me, regret is the worst of all the feelings out there. And this is the worst thing that will happen when you give up.

“Never stop trying. Never stop believing. Never give up. Your day will come.”
–Mandy Hale

It is always darkest just before the dawn
Things will be the most difficult when you are about to achieve success. You would be in the most vulnerable state. That’s how nature works; it is always the darkest before the dawn. If you give up, everything will finish. If you don’t, you would see one of the most miraculous things you have ever witnessed. You would see yourself moving from zero to one hundred; you would see yourself achieving success. You would be amazed, and it will all be unbelievable.

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
-Nelson Mandela

Lastly, your efforts will pay off
People worry whether all the effort they are putting in will even result in something. Let me tell you, all the hard work you are doing, all the risk you are taking, all the suffering you are going through will pay off one day. The only way your efforts will be wasted is if you give up.

Once you achieve success, you would realize how beautiful it is. You would feel grateful for yourself that you continued when things were difficult, continued when you had no hope, continued even when you suffered, and never gave up. This is one of the most powerful reasons why you should never give up.

“Never, never, never give up.”
–Winston Churchill

Let Galatians 6:9 strengthen you and help you to keep going. God bless you and remain faithful to the end.
