ONE-TIME WEDDING ~ Precious C Philip

Have you heard about this one-time granduer wedding that will be taking place one day in the kingdom of heaven? Well, I'm here to tell you about it just incase you have never heard of it - so you can prepare to join the wedding - because all men on earth have been invited to this grand wedding. However, even though all men have been INVITED, not all men will be WELCOMED to be a part of it; only those who have PREPARED themselves for the wedding will be allowed entrance.

Therefore, you need to know what is required of you to qualify to enter the wedding hall and enjoy the wedding ceremony as the bride of the bridegroom. This is a one-time wedding and it will be super glorious, even a royal wedding and the most elaborate wedding on earth does not come close to it in splendor, majesty and magnificence.

The Bible narrates this glorious wedding feast in Revelation 19:7–9: "Let us rejoice and exalt him and give him glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come. And his bride has prepared herself. Fine linen, shining bright and clear, has been given to her to wear, and the fine linen represents the righteous deeds of his holy believers.” Then the angel said to me, “Write these words: Wonderfully blessed are those who are invited to feast at the wedding celebration of the Lamb!” And then he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

Jesus, the Lamb of God, is often called the Bridegroom in the New Testament (Matthew 9:15, Mark 2:19, Luke 5:34), while the believers, His followers (children of God) are the Bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:22-33). God the Father is our Father and we (children of God) are married to His Son Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2). This glorious matrimony will be celebrated at the wedding feast of the Lamb in heaven.

Now, what is required of you and I to be a part of this glorious one-time wedding in heaven? You must be a bride of the Bridegroom, not a spectator. "And his bride has prepared herself." This means you must be a believer in Jesus Christ: believe in Jesus the Son of God, accept Him as your Saviour, confess Him as your Lord and completely surrender to His Lordship over your life. That is the first step in getting yourself prepared for the wedding.

Second step: you must be a pure bride without blemish, wrinkle or spot. "...and the fine linen represents the righteous deeds of his holy believers.” Meaning you must be holy, righteous, and blameless. You must abstain from sin and anything that can defile/pollute your body, spirit and soul. You must be sanctified and live a consecrated life. Living a holy life is simply paying close attention to God's Word and doing exactly what it says - keeping God's commandments to the letter.

"He (Jesus) made the church holy by the power of his word, and he made it pure by washing it with water. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault." Ephesians 5:26-27

"For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:2

So, prepare yourself to show up for the wedding supper of the Lamb and be qualified to go in. I'm doing my best not to miss this glorious wedding; I expect you to do the same if you have believed in Jesus. If you've not believed in Him yet, please consider doing so right now. You cannot afford to miss this GLORIOUS ONE-TIME WEDDING. Jesus the Bridegroom invites you to the wedding. Don't miss this great invitation. He loves you and wants to see you there as His pure bride - so you can reunite and live together for eternity.

Shalom.
