The Surprising Reality by Precious C Philip

If you are a Christian and you're still skeptical or doubting the return of Jesus and the end of the world, you clearly are not very observant. You cannot really be conscious and cognizant of the many evils happening in the world today and still doubt Jesus' return and the prophecy that the world will come to an end some day. 

Hear what Matthew 24:3 &12 says:

vs 3. As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

vs. 13 There will be such an increase of sin and lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold. 

Jesus prophesied that one of the signs that will indicate that His return is eminent and that the end of the world is near is GREAT increase in sin and immorality that will make many believers in Christ backslide; that will make many children of God cease loving God. This does not just mean that they will no longer claim to be Christians and children of God or that they'll no longer go to church and dance and sing praises to God. No! It means much more. 1 John 5:3 says "Loving God means keeping his commandments." So not loving God means not keeping His commandments. Also, in John 14:23 "Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will obey my teaching." Furthermore, John 14:15 captures Jesus' statement “If you love me, you will keep my commandments."  Therefore, when our love for God becomes cold due to the increase of immorality around us and the rampancy of sin in the world, we will no longer value and obey His commandments because our love for God has been put to perfect sleep. So it means that we'll no longer have respect for God's commandments. We'll no longer hold God's laws in high esteem to obey and cherish it. We'll go to church, dance and sing praises to God, but rebel and disobey His word and His commandments. We'll claim to be children of God, but we'll not obey God we call our Father. We'll claim to be Christians, but we'll not have regard for the teachings of Jesus we claim to be following; we'll select the commandments of God to obey and the ones not to obey;  we'll interpret the scriptures to suit our carnal, sinful, and selfish desires. This is what is happening today before our very own eyes. Many Christians disregard the laws of God and do not even attempt to keep His commandments anymore. 

I was shocked when I saw the reaction and response of many supposedly Christians to a godly statement made by a man of God shared on Facebook. He said a woman should not see her fiance's manhood (on purpose) before marriage because it is a wrong act that can lead to fornication. I was surprised to see that majority of the comments are against the statement and this commenters are majorly Christians. One lady said, "I won't only see but also do the practical to know if it's active and functiong well. To avoid story that touches the heart after marriage."

Another man said, "The people who are here shouting Increase the volume actually press bread before buying it..... am a christian but i believe there is difference between what the bible says and real life situations.... i cannot marry a lady i dont know...i know people who all this abstinence theory has put in trouble and they are suffering in their marriage..... " Yet another lady said, "How is that possible, i will see it, feel it and even ask him to do the practical to be sure am on the right track. No woman wants a 2 seconds man or a pencil, fornication is better than adultery."  More comments followed below:

"These are the things which result in early marriage break up. How do I know what's in there? Look you can't buy a car before testing it. What about if the person has different genital."

"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so i should not see what i want to eat before i swallow it abi?🤣Abeg those era have passed."

"Pastor what if after the mariage the thing is not meeting your needs ????or your man realise that u 2are not compatible 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤸"

Hmm! You can imagine what some so-called Christians are vomiting. Where have we placed the word of God? Where have we placed the commandments of God that instructs children of God to avoid sexual immorality? It is a pity that such malady is basking in the Christendom. Because of the rampancy of such evil in the world where premarital sex is normal, many Christians have abandoned their love for God and embraced love for the world.  Where is your love for God? Ephesians 5:3 warns "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people." It is very unfortunate that today, the opposite is the case. Sexual immorality has not only found a resting place in the Christendom, it is now giving birth to all sorts of immoralities. Premarital sex, cohabitation, adultery and the likes is fast becoming a norm, and living sexually pure becoming abnormal. How did we degenerate to this level? Why are we so blind and not seeing what the devil is doing? Why are we becoming so comfortable in sin? Why are we now bragging about what is wrong? Why are we helping the devil to carry out his evil plans? Be reminded that one of the seven things God hates as recorded in Proverbs 6:16-19 is gloating over doing what’s plainly wrong. 

My heart bleeds seeing the level of carnality, doubt, fear, unbelief, and immorality operating in the Christendom. If we are operating in faith and are actually walking with God, if we really know this God personally and understand His ways and how much He knows us better than we do- how much He loves us and wants the best for us, we'll just obey His commands; we'll totally trust Him and serve Him indeed, because we understand that He loves us too much to give us what is best for us, that He knows each one of us very well, even better than we know ourselves- to know what is perfect for each of us; and we understand too that He knows our preferences, needs, and desires perfectly to give us exactly what we need and what will satisfy us. It is the result of not walking with God, not knowing God, and not trusting God, that makes you think God is 'wicked', God is 'foolish', He cannot see the future, and He does not know you and what you need, so will give you a partner who cannot satisfy you sexually. If you're truly walking with God and following the leading of His Holy Spirit, you'll trust God knowing He'll definitely lead you to the right partner who'll not only satisfy you sexually, but will give you rest, peace and joy in marriage. 

If you've been caught in this evil wind of immorality and carnality blowing in the Christendom today, Jesus is near and willing to help you get out of it, but you must first accept that you need His help, then repent and surrender to Him. You don't have to follow the majority being blown away into hell. Repent and call on Jesus today to free you. Embrace a lifestyle of holiness and strict obedience to all of God's commandments. In a time like this where everyone is panicking because of coronavirus, you need God more than anything else to be close to you. And the only way for God to be close to you and give you maximum protection 24/7 is to draw close to Him. Draw close to God by living to please Him and obey His commandments.
