MAN FORGETS; GOD DOESN'T ~ PRECIOUS VICTOR AKAH

"The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him." (Genesis 40:23)

Has anyone made a promise to you and forgot or failed to fulfil it? I'm sure you've experienced such before and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. Well, that is the nature of man. Even you reading this has at one time or the other made a promise to someone that you intentionally refused to fulfil or unintentionally failed to fulfil. That is just man.

Joseph, while in prison, helped the chief cupbearer, who out of excitement and a desire to express his gratitude promised Joseph that he'll not forget him when he finally gains his freedom, but guess what? He forgot Joseph immediately he got his freedom: "The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him." (Genesis 40:23).

Man can forget you. This is why it is dangerous and unadvisable for you to put your hope or confidence in any man, because they can forget to do what they have promised to do for you. A man can promise to marry you if you help him get established financially or in his career, but when he eventually attains financial stability or a stable career, he forgets everything you ever did for him and marries another woman. A lady can profess love for you because you're paying her school fees, but immediately she graduates, she forgets you and moves on to marry a richer man.

Man can forget the promises they made to you. Man can forget the commitments, covenant and vows they made to you. A husband can forget the vow he made to his wife to love and to cherish her till death do them apart, and a wife can forget the vow she made to her husband to submit to him in everything as unto the Lord.

But God NEVER FORGETS! He never forgets His commitments, vows and covenant with His children. He never forgets His children. He never forgets His promises. He remembers His promises, covenant, vows and commitments to His children and keeps them eternally. This should encourage you to put your confidence and hope and faith in God because He is totally dependable and exceedingly faithful.

"So the Lord answers, “Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore?.Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you." Isaiah 49:15

Man can forget your labour of love and fail to appreciate, commend and reward you, but God never forgets. He said He'll reward us in due season (Galatians 6:9), meaning He is taking note of everything good we're doing in His vineyard and in our society, and He'll reward our labour when the time is due.

If you're already a child of God, be encouraged today to keep doing good wherever you find yourself, be encouraged to keep holding on to God regardless of the battles around you, be strengthened to keep trusting God and His promises, knowing that He is too faithful and mindful of you to forget to fulfil His promises to you.

Still yet to become a child of God? I implore you to become a child of God today by accepting and believing in Jesus the Son of God and enjoy God's faithfulness.

MAN FORGETS; GOD DOESN'T. This is why you can't do life without God, because where man will fail to show up, God will always show up; where man will fail to care, He'll always care; where man will fail to love and help; He'll always love and provide help; where man will forget to do what he has promised to do, God will never fail nor forget to do what He has promised to do.

The chief cupbearer forgot Joseph, but God who was always with Joseph, even in the prison, never forgot him; in due season, He brought him out supernaturally. God will speedily fulfil every promise He made to you for which you have been trusting and constantly reminding Him of, in Jesus' Name. You shall testify to the glory of God.

"Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.” Jeremiah 1:12

God bless you.
