DON'T RUN AFTER MONEY - DO THIS. Based on the True Life Story of Mr. K
One of the young men in my town recently died. This young man, Mr. K, was very rich and had many possessions and properties around. However, he did not make money the right way. Like most young men of today, he followed the path of "get rich quick and by all means" and got plenty money; and as expected - spent large sums on harmful pleasures.
What you get the wrong way, you'll most likely spend the wrong way.
He spent the money he made on women, drinking, smoking and snorting drugs. In the midst of "enjoying" the money he made, his life was snuffed out. It is believed that he died either through an overdose on cocaine or a satanic attack. The money he acquired, the cars, the houses, and all the properties he acquired, who's enjoying it now? His family and relatives definitely. What a pity! What a wasted labor! The worst labor ever is being denied the privilege to enjoy what you laboured for and giving someone else (who never laboured for it) the privilege to enjoy it instead. It is painful!
No wonder Jeremiah 17:11 says "The person who gets money dishonestly (by unjust means) is like a bird that hatches eggs it didn't lay. In the prime of life he will lose his riches, and in the end he is nothing but a fool." How real this scripture is! Young men, please listen to wise counsel, no man who follows the path of "get rich quick and by all means" ever lives long enough to "enjoy" it nor have a happy ending.
The devil tricks young men of today to think that what matters in life is to make money: what defines you is how much money you have in your bank account and how much possessions & properties you have acquired. He tells you the only thing you need to enjoy life is money, therefore you must get it by all means. He makes you believe that enjoying life is having plenty money, living in a big mansion, sleeping with any woman you like, drinking expensive alcoholic beverages, smoking, snorting drugs, and going to parties and night clubs.
Many young men already bought these lies, like my brother that just died. But the devil being very crafty and heartless - hides his main plan of taking your life or destroying your life when you finally get money his own way.
That brother of mine was busy "enjoying" himself -- thinking he has arrived, he has made it, all he needs now is to sit down and indulge his appetites. Little did he know what his advisor the devil was planning to give him as a reward for following his advice - untimely death. This is why Jesus asks us in Matthew 16:26 "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?"
Are you willing to gather all the money in the world, "enjoy" it for a brief moment and spend eternity burning in the lake of fire?
Are you willing to give your immortal soul in exchange for fleeting worldly pleasures? Can you forfeit eternal pleasures in heaven for momentary pleasure on earth?
Jesus warns "...Watch out and guard yourselves from every kind of greed; because your true life is not made up of the things you own, no matter how rich you may be" (Luke 12:15 GNT). "Be careful to guard yourselves from every kind of greed. Life is not about having a lot of material possessions" (Luke 12:15 GWT).
This is Jesus speaking -- the greatest man who lived on earth. Why not listen to Him and save your immortal soul?
It would be very foolish to ignore the wise counsel coming from the greatest man who ever lived on earth and follow the foolish counsel of small men teaching unfounded ideologies on social media - such as "Without money, you are not a man", "Make money by all means; no man will respect you without money - hustle and make money either by hook or crook", "You can't find true love without money; you need to be rich to be respected by a woman", and much more. Every advice they give is centered on making money FAST, BY ALL MEANS POSSIBLE & AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE. Run from them!!!
Stop listening to them if you want to really live a great life on earth and leave a good legacy. Yes, money is important, but money is not to be loved and pursued. Otherwise the pursuer will end up with terrible injuries or even encounter death and still not lay hold on true riches.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 warns "Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!" 1 Timothy 6:10 further explains "Loving money is the first step toward all kinds of trouble. Some people run after it so much that they have given up their Christian faith. Craving more money pushes them away from the faith into error, compounding misery in their lives!" You have been warned!
To obtain true riches and live long to enjoy it, do this:
"Obey the LORD, be humble, and you will get riches, honor, and a long life." Proverbs 22:4
Amazing! You'll not only obtain riches, but you'll be given honor and long life in addition. Hallelujah! If you're very observant and honest, you'll notice that those who get money the wrong way do not enjoy honor and long life. My brother who just died is a case you can consider. Even Forbes does not recognize "rich" people who made their money the wrong way when reporting Top Billionaires in the world.
Live in obedience to the commands and instructions of God given in the Bible and humble yourself before God and be His loyal son, in return, God will bless you with riches, plus honor, in addition to long life. Praise God!
"If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom." Deuteronomy 28:13. This is greatness! Obedience to the commands of God will take you to the topmost top. Obedience to His instructions on the kind of business you're permitted to do as a child of God, and obedience to God's principles on how you should conduct the business you do will make you great.
Moreover, Proverbs 13:11 counsels us to add hard work to our obedience to God's commands in order to truly enjoy greatness. "Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time."
Therefore, don't run after money; simply do what the scriptures above says, and you'll not only have money, but have enough of it to bless others, and live as long as God wants you to live to enjoy the money. Please listen to Jesus. He loves you. He wants to save your immortal soul from destruction and preserve it. The devil on the other hand is after the destruction of your soul - for this is his only mission on earth - to steal, kill and to destroy.
He stole the great purpose for which God created that brother of mine from him, he killed him to stop him from ever pursuing this purpose, and ultimately destroyed his purpose. I don't know if he surrendered to Jesus before he took his final breath; if he did, God be praised, but if he did not get the privilege to receive Jesus before he died, he is right now wailing and weeping in hell fire. Just imagining this melts my heart.đŸ˜¢
Please don't let this same thing happen to you. If someone had come to him few hours before his death and asked him to surrender his life to Christ and give up his sinful lifestyle, he probably would have said what most people alive today would say: "Man must make money. If I don't make money, wetin I gain? I know God understands and God is merciful. We're all sinners. I am a Christian too; I'm just not a fanatical Christian. I serve God. I respect God. I fear God. I believe in Jesus. I believe God exists. I go to church. I give to God. I pray to God. I even read the Bible... "
God asked me to share this story because He wants to rescue you before it is too late for you to be rescued. He wants you to repent and come to Him for salvation now you're still breathing. He wants to rescue you before the devil terminates your life. Welcome Him into your life. Say to Him, "I am sorry, Lord, for going my own way. I choose Your way today. I surrender all to You. Come and have Your way in my life. Be my Lord and rule over me. I surrender all to You, Lord. Forgive my rebellion in the past and help me to live for You."
God loves you. If you're sincere with the prayers, He has forgiven you. You must now stop living the life that rebels against God's instructions in the Bible and reset your priorities to serve God wholeheartedly and go after making money His own way.
Proverbs 22:1 admonishes "Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold."
When you choose riches over having a good name, respect and good reputation, you'll eventually lose the riches, but when you choose having a good name, good reputation and respect over riches, it'll bring you riches and sustain the riches.
God bless you.
